Welcome to my Blog: My Why.

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Sonia Aldana, I am married to a wonderful man and we have 10 years of marriage for the glory of God. We have 3 beautiful children. Elizabeth, 9 years old, my son Alejandro, 15 months old, and our dear Angela who would have been 4 years old. She lives in heaven and in our hearts forever.

I am very excited to share with you my passion for life through writings in this blog. I will be sharing stories as I have been able to cope with the loss of my second daughter while I am still working as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, being a mother and wife and building my own business with Avon.

I created this blog because many friends and family have been encouraging me to continue writing, I created a blog where I shared the  beautiful life of my little miracle Angela where I kept informing and updating all of her followers, family and friends. She was a source of joy and hope for many parents who have received some terminal diagnosis for their babies. She is the one who inspires me to keep living, and making a difference in the lives of others. I love helping others to reach their fullest potential in their life.

I started my Avon business on November 11, 2011, two days after my birthday. Next week I am celebrating 7 years  with Avon and it's my Birthday. In the last 7 years I have lived many events in my life that have marked me as a woman, which I will be sharing little by little. Avon gave me the opportunity to be at home for the first years of my first daughter Elizabeth's life. I loved to watch her reaching her milestones and cared for her while I provided for our family.

Since she was two years old, Elizabeth has liked to touch and read Avon's books, she is fascinated by colors, children's toys and all the bath and bubble products of Avon's children's line. Now, she helps me to stamp my books and goes with me to the community events. She loves unboxing and she wants to be a YouTuber "Mini Avon, helping mom". Soon, I will be sharing some videos that she recorded herself. She is so amazing!

Now my son Alejandro is very curious with all the products, sometimes I wonder where the deodorants or body creams went, and then I find then in his toy box.

She learned the numbers and colors by helping me organize the deodorants that has different colored caps. It has been fun! In the first 6 months I was already a prominent seller with sales over $ 10,000 and I had earned my first trip to Las Vegas all paid for by AVON. I could not believe it! In just 6 months I was already enjoying trips, rewards and earning.

I love everything that AVON offers me, flexibility and quality of time with my family. The months went by and in my first year with Avon I had already reached Honor Society and I had been awarded the Spirit of Avon trophy. It was amazing everything I  had achieved in such a short time. Having a business takes effort and dedication. At the President's Club Awards Dinner, my husband Rony was my guest of honor. It was beautiful to share that night with him. I was recognized in front of all the other Avon Representatives for my hard work. It was the first time that I was recognized  for my work. Wonderful experience!

Time passed and I kept growing personally, learning new skills that help my bussiness.  I loved helping other women do the same as me, my knowledge and passion helped to empowered other women and helped them to believe they can also have their own business, and to  be their own bosses. This is what I love about Avon. It helps you to grow personally, and builds confidence that we can all realize our dreams if we want to.

2014,  was a very difficult year for me and my family, I become  pregnant with my second daughter Angela, being pregnant was not the hardest thing, the most difficult and painful for me was to hear the doctor telling me  that my daughter in the womb had no chance of life after delivery. The diagnosis was that my daughter would die at birth. It was like a gray cloud that was placed on top of me to not let me continue. I did not want to know anything, I thought I was going to die of anguish and pain. My business associates accompanied me and prayed for me, it was a community that comforted me in these difficult times. My loyal clients called me to find out about me . The fellowship was very special.

My husband and I decided to say YES to life and we gave our daughter Angela every opportunity possible and she did not die at birth as the doctors had told me, she lived a filled full life for 3 years and 8 months. This December 16 will mark its first year of her passing.

During these years I have learned many skills to cope with difficulties, live a full life despite the adversities, I certified as a lactation consultant and work with women and children, I help them achieve their goals but also to overcome the difficulties that may appear with breastfeeding. I feel great joy when they feel their goals.

After my daughter Angela passed away I felt empty and disconsolate. My colleagues encouraged me to take up my Avon business to keep me occupied. In August, my family, my husband Rony, Elizabeth and Alejandro, we took a family vacation. We went to REPFEST 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. This was the Annual Convention that Avon makes for its Representatives. We went to a private concert with Rascal Flatts, and we participated in the wonderful learning activities to take our business to another level. This was what ignited my passion for Avon again, and I could see my purpose. I have qualities of an entrepreneur, I am brave and I have in me the commitment to make a better future for my children. My purpose, is  to change the lives of others with everything I have to offer.

Here I am ready to change lives, with my story, and with one lipstick at a time. The makeup makes me feel beautiful, but I know that outside beauty is not all that matters, the most important beauty is found inside of YOU, because this is where all our virtues and gifts can be found. and that is what makes us  the most BEAUTIFUL person.

I hope you subscribe to my blog to stay informes of everything I have to share.
